We love making work better here at JB Training Solutions. We encourage engagement all year round, but the holidays are a perfect time to practice a few fun new strategies. This year, we would love for you to join our 10 days of holiday cheer initiative. You’ll need to dedicate the next 10 business days to bringing joy to your office. That doesn’t sound too difficult, right? Let’s get started.
Day 1 – Give thanks
Write a thank-you note to a colleague – make sure that you call out a very specific reason why you are thankful for this person. (Bonus: send it via snail mail for a fun surprise!)
Day 2 – Deliver unexpected delight
Grab your colleague their favorite holiday coffee or tea – there’s nothing like a surprise peppermint mocha to make someone feel festive and energized! If you work on a dispersed team, try using THNKS to send a virtual cup of cheer.
Day 3 – Gather and share
Host a casual lunch and learn where your team can share their unique holiday traditions.
Day 4 – Express gratitude
Institute a gratitude challenge as a daily reflection for your team.
Day 5 – Sweet!
Host a holiday cookie (or recipe) exchange or host a gingerbread house-making contest.
Day 6 – Dress to impress!
Encourage your team to wear their ugliest sweater and offer prizes for the best one.
Day 7 – Meet and treat
Host a morning meeting hot chocolate bar: Provide the hot chocolate and have your team bring their own mugs and toppings.
Day 8 – New Year, new me
Share workplace resolutions for the new year to inspire people to get amped for the new year!
Day 9 – Festive feedback
Have 1:1 check-ins with your team. Your time is a very precious gift!
Day 10 – Songs of the season
Kick off your meeting by blasting holiday music to get folks excited and engaged.
And that’s a wrap! You’re bound to send your team off into the holidays with more cheer than Buddy the Elf!
