Pumpkin Spice… Learning

Whether you’re a pumpkin spice fan or not, Starbucks took the internet by storm last week when they released their signature Fall drinks earlier than ever before.

The JB team is just as excited to kick off our popular fall training programs, so we figured we’d launch them before September even starts!

A new season is approaching and with that comes a lot of anticipation and – well – change. Think about how you felt entering a new class in school, or how you felt preparing for that first day at a new job. You likely would have benefited from a course designed to build your resilience and agility!

Change is not easy – but it is inevitable. Even when the change is needed, the transition can be difficult, frustrating and even immobilizing if you don’t have a toolbox for managing the process. As an individual, how do you navigate change and follow in the path of leadership? How do you work successfully on a team when times are tough?

Were you a trapper keeper person in school, or did you have individual folders for every subject? Did you put all your writing utensils in a pouch or let them roam about your backpack? No matter your organization level, we share tactical tips to boost productivity so that you can focus on what’s most important to your development.

There are so many emails, meetings, interruptions, and demands. How do you manage your day to ensure you are focusing on the most significant responsibilities? How do you prevent yourself from drowning in urgent tasks that don’t have a big impact?

The iconic New York Fashion Week in September is a great way to understand what latest and greatest fashion trends are coming. Brush up on your own professional presence with our course designed to help you develop confidence, gravitas, and decisiveness in the workplace.

In business, it’s often the finer details that count. It’s not just what you say, it’s also how you say it, and how you act when you say it. Often it’s not about who has the leadership title but who can make a great first impression, command a presence, and handle social situations with professionalism.

Last but certainly not least… the most controversial symbol of Fall as of late. Feedback is like the PSL: not everybody likes it, but you have to respect everyone’s opinion on it. (we’re reaching here) 😆

Feedback is like physical exercise: good for everyone, hard to get started, but easier to maintain. Similar to exercise, you need to make feedback a habit until it’s embedded into your daily routine. Many people put off sticky situations or tough conversations until they become ugly emergencies, but the smartest professionals prevent messes by sharing regular doses of feedback.
