As we step into a new year, we’re embracing our 2026 theme: Strong Ground, Bold Growth.

The idea clicked for me while reading Brené Brown’s latest book. (Brené always pulls through with inspiration when you need it.) She opens with a story about recovering from a pickleball injury and realizing just how important core strength is. When you have a solid core and strong ground, you’re steady, but you’re also mobile and agile. You don’t get knocked over easily, and you can move with confidence when things change.

I thought: That’s JB.

Our strong ground is clear: our purpose to make work better and the incredible team, trainers, and coaches who bring that mission to life every day. That foundation is solid, and it’s what allows us to grow, adapt, and meet the moment whatever the year brings.

We got a jumpstart on our plan at my most favorite event of the year – our JB Palooza – where our team and trainers all come together. And what are learning and development professionals obligated to do when they meet up? Try out new exercises before they hit the classroom of course! One classic moment this year was a hands-on Play-Doh exercise where our team forecasted (and sculpted!) the workshops we expect to be most impactful this year. With that as the backdrop and as we cruise through January, we’re doubling down on what we do best: amazing partnerships with our clients, courses that drive real behavior change, and facilitators who meet the moment with credibility, care, energy, and fun.
